The North Carolina Division of Water Infrastructure (DWI), in partnership with the NC Water Resources Research Institute (WRRI) and Cavanaugh, is pleased to announce its Water Loss Program.

This program is offered at no cost to participants, and will provide water loss technical assistance utilizing the AWWA M36 Methodology.
​
Your participation will generally include:

Brief kickoff & training via webcast (lookout for invite coming!)

Compile a preliminary water audit & supporting documents
-
In-person regional workshop (1-day) which will provide Level 1 validation & recommendations for each utility
-
Compile any available records for line repairs (mains, services) and related information
-
Participation in a final workshop (1-day)

Outcomes for each participating utility in the program will include:
-
Validated M36 water audit & water loss profile
-
Gap analysis between current water loss and optimum water loss levels
-
Water loss target-setting for economic optimum & potential recovery
-
Recommendations for next steps in water loss control
The program is anticipated to take place beginning in Fall 2018 and completing in Fall of 2019. A detailed schedule will be posted soon, check back for updates!
